How the job runs
Same process on every job — you always know what happens next.
Light plan
We map how you use each room and place lights in layers — not a grid of cans that flattens everything.
Rough & patch
Wiring runs with minimal wall damage; any drywall we open, we patch and paint — one contractor, no finger-pointing.
Trim & tune
Fixtures hung, dimmers programmed, color temperature matched across the room (2700K–3000K in living spaces).
Typical Massachusetts pricing: recessed LEDs $180–$300 per light installed (6+ lights); fixture swaps $150–$350; chandeliers on high ceilings $400–$900; under-cabinet LED $50–$90 per linear foot. Free estimate, itemized per fixture.
Questions homeowners
ask us
Who does the electrical work?
Licensed Massachusetts electricians we've partnered with for years. R&L plans, coordinates and patches; the wiring is licensed, permitted work — never a handyman shortcut.
How many recessed lights does my room need?
Rule of thumb: ceiling height ÷ 2 = spacing in feet, then adjusted for layers. A 12×16 living room usually wants 6 cans plus lamps — not the 12-can grid that looks like an office.
Can you add lights without tearing up the ceiling?
Usually — canless LEDs need only a 4" hole and we fish wires through joist bays. Where we must open drywall, patching and painting is in the same quote.
