What we do on a
tile installation job
- Bathroom floors and shower surrounds
- Kitchen backsplashes, including patterned and handmade tile
- Large-format tile (24"+ ) with anti-lippage leveling
- Heated floor systems under tile
- Uncoupling membrane (Ditra or equivalent) on wood subfloors
- Grout, caulk and sealing done as a system

How the job runs
Same process on every job — you always know what happens next.
Layout first
We dry-lay and chalk the layout so cuts land where you won't see them — the step rushed installers skip.
Prep & membrane
Flat substrate, right mortar, movement joints respected. Tile fails from below, not from above.
Set, grout, seal
Leveling clips on every large-format job. Grout color you approve on a sample board, not from a chart.
Installed tile in Massachusetts typically runs $12–$25/sq ft for floors and $18–$35/sq ft for showers, driven mostly by tile size and pattern. Heated floors add roughly $12–$20/sq ft. Exact number comes with the free estimate.
Questions homeowners
ask us
Why did my last tile job crack?
Almost always movement below: wood subfloor flexing without an uncoupling membrane, or missing expansion joints. We install both, which is why our floors stay put.
Can you tile over existing tile?
Sometimes, if the old floor is flat and solid — it saves demo cost but raises the floor height. We check door clearances first and tell you both prices.
How soon can I shower after tiling?
Grout cures 72 hours before regular use. We schedule so your downtime is at the end of the week, not the start.
