Window & Door
Installation

A $900 window installed badly performs worse than a $400 window installed right. Flashing, shimming and foam are the job — the unit is just the part.

Process

How the job runs

Same process on every job — you always know what happens next.

01

Measure & spec

Every opening measured twice, units specced for New England wind and cold (U-factor ≤ 0.30), order confirmed with you.

02

Out & in, weathertight same day

Old unit out, sill pan and flashing in, new unit set plumb and square — no opening left unsealed overnight.

03

Insulate & trim

Low-expansion foam (never stuffed fiberglass), interior stops, exterior trim wrapped or painted. Typically 30–45 minutes per window after setup.

What it costs

In Massachusetts, replacement windows typically run $650–$1,200 each installed (vinyl double-hung) and $1,200–$2,200 for wood or fiberglass. Entry doors run $2,000–$5,500 installed. Multi-window discounts are real — the setup cost spreads. Free estimate.

FAQ

Questions homeowners
ask us

Insert or full-frame replacement — what's the difference?

Inserts keep your existing frame (cheaper, faster) but only make sense if the frame is rot-free and square. Full-frame costs ~40% more and fixes hidden rot and air leaks. We probe your frames and tell you which you actually need.

Is winter a bad time to replace windows?

No — we do one opening at a time, so the house is never open for more than the minutes a swap takes. Winter scheduling is often faster and negotiable.

Will new windows really lower my heating bill?

If your current ones are single-pane or leaky, yes — typically 10–20% in Boston-area homes. If they're decent double-panes, air sealing elsewhere is better money and we'll say so.
